As leaves have been turning fiery shades of scarlet, preparations for this year's school musical, Zombie Prom are well under way and members of both the cast and crew have been working tirelessly to create a production that is heartwarming, thrilling, hilarious, and, above all, memorable. “Zombie Prom” is a musical about “a misfit senior in the 1950’s from Enrico Fermi High School with a crazy zombie twist,” according to lead character Luke Sprenkle (Jonny the zombie). The Regional, which is renowned for it's unusual theatrical choices (anyone remember Urinetown?), is clearly gearing up for another outlandish hit! Actors have been hard at work singing, dancing, and memorizing each afternoon, ensuring that the Regional's legacy of superb theater continues. While director Mr Shailor and music director Mrs. Frost have been rehearsing dialogue and songs with the actors, the tech crew has sprung into action, reorganizing, cleaning, and building elaborate sets. All that's left now is to sell tickets, usher in an eager audience, and entertain the masses with a kooky tale about love, life, and the undead. Zombie Prom will be performed in the Ferrini Dramatics Center at Hamilton Wenham Regional High School during November on the 15th at 8pm and 16th at both 2pm and 8pm. All are welcome to sit back, relax, and enjoy Zombie Prom.
